A Family Name from Apeiranthos
Pasas Castle carries a name with a personal family story. Our family comes from Apeiranthos, the mountain village of Naxos, also known as the birthplace of Manolis Glezos, a historic figure of the Greek National Resistance read more.
The nickname “Pasas”, with one “s”, comes from Stefanos Stavrianos, the grandfather of the owner. As a young boy during the years of the National Resistance, he was an Aetopoulo of EPON, a youth organization connected with the resistance movement in occupied Greece read more.
When he returned from Athens to Naxos after the war, he brought this nickname with him. Today, the name Pasas Castle keeps alive a small piece of our family history, our roots in Naxos, and our connection with the island’s memory and hospitality.
Today, this spirit takes a new form. Pasas Castle is a thematic complex of apartments that approaches hospitality in a revolutionary way, by combining direct contact with nature, environmental techniques, stone from the mountains of Apeiranthos, handmade marble objects, modern technology, and discreet luxury.
